North and Challengermode enter strategic partnership
Today premier esports-organization North and online tournament platform Challengermode kick off a partnership to promote the National Esports Leagues. The deal will focus on helping grassroots esports in the Nordics, to provide a clear path from amateur to professional competitions.
The cooperation will also see North utilize Challengermode's tournament platform to hold community-tournaments, with the first edition being a 1on1-tournament where the winner gets to face Nicklas "gade" Gade in a BO3 1on1.
"The grassroots community is an important part of our industry, and the partnership with Challengermode allows us to give back to them. Creating a clear path to the professional scene is of utmost importance for us, in order to recruit the best players, and we're happy to help Challengermode do exactly that with the National Esports Leagues" said Christian Sørensen, CEO of North.
"Both Challengermode and North share the ambition of bridging the gap between amateur and professional esports"
“Both Challengermode and North share the ambition of bridging the gap between amateur and professional esports. Providing a clear path to the top for regular gamers and future talents alike. That’s why it was natural for us at Challengermode to reach out to North with the proposal of collaborating around grassroots esports and our National Esports Leagues, specifically” said Philip Skogsberg, CMO and co-founder of Challengermode
