Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye is taking a break from competitive CS:GO for the coming time.
"Over the last couple of months, I have experienced abdominal pains, breathing problems and chest cramps, in such manner, that I have had problems playing the game, I love, on the highest level.
I have come to a point, where I need to listen to my body, and give it time to recover fully. I don’t know when I will be back on the server but I do know that I need a break. I want to thank my family, fans and the North team and management for support and understanding,” says Kjaerbye.
North will monitor and help Kjaerbye for him to return as quickly as possible.
“CS:GO and esports in general is still a young racehorse at full pace with no brakes. Therefore, it is vital that we take responsibility for the health of our players and build sporting setups that are equally ambitious on driving performance and entertainment but also on creating cultures where we go to the limit – but not crossing it,” says Performance Manager at North, Christian Engell.
Later today, North will announce who will replace Kjaerbye for the coming period.
